We’re so excited to begin an amazing year of learning, growth, and new adventures. Year 6 is a very special time — it’s our pupils’ final year at St Monica’s, and we’ll be working hard while making lasting memories along the way.
In English, we’ll explore a range of engaging texts to inspire our reading and writing, developing our skills through creative projects, storytelling, and discussion. In Maths, we’ll build confidence with numbers, tackle challenging problems, and apply what we know to real-life situations. Science will be full of exciting investigations and hands-on experiments that help us understand the world around us.
We’ll also continue to enjoy subjects like History, Geography, Art, Computing, and PE — with plenty of opportunities to be creative, curious, and active. This year, we’ll also be preparing for our SATs, showing everything we’ve learned during our time at primary school and celebrating our achievements.
Year 6 is about working together, building independence, and getting ready for the next big step into secondary school. We can’t wait to share this special journey with you and make it a year to remember!
