School Day

The typical school day is as follows:

In Years 1 and 2, the day begins with a supported reading session during which groups of children work with adults to read books that have been chosen specifically for their ability.  Adults support and challenge them to read these books and ask questions about the stories.

Because of this, we ask that children arrive punctually at 8:55am as these sessions start promptly at 9:00am. This is a vital time for children to learn new reading and comprehension skills which will enable them to work in other curriculum areas throughout the day.

In Years 1 -6, children begin their day with additional lessons, such as Grammar or Numeracy. This starts promptly at 8:40am
