School Food Standards and Allergen Information
The National School Food Standards ensure that all food provided to pupils is nutritious, high quality, and supportive of their health and wellbeing. These standards aim to:
-
Promote good nutritional health for every pupil.
-
Protect those who may be nutritionally vulnerable.
-
Encourage positive eating habits and behaviour.
Providing high-quality school meals has been shown to improve children’s health, behaviour, and academic performance.
The Food Standards Agency has recently issued updated guidance on food allergens—common foods that can trigger allergic reactions. You can find more information at:

If you believe your child may be affected by any food allergies or intolerances, or if you would like reassurance about our food practices, please speak to Chef Melfred.
As a school, we remain fully committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all our children, staff, and partners.
