Welcome to Year 3 at St Monica’s Primary School!
Welcome to Year 3 — the start of an exciting new chapter as our pupils begin their journey through Key Stage 2! We’re so happy to have you join us for a year full of learning, creativity, and discovery.
In English, we’ll explore wonderful stories and develop our writing through imagination, description, and storytelling. In Maths, we’ll build on what we learned in Key Stage 1 — working with bigger numbers, practising times tables, and solving real-life problems. In Science, we’ll explore fascinating topics and carry out hands-on experiments to understand how the world works.
We’ll also enjoy learning across a wide range of subjects, including History, Geography, Art, Computing, and Music, where creativity and curiosity lead the way. PE lessons will keep us active and healthy, and we’ll continue to develop teamwork and sportsmanship.
Year 3 is all about growing in independence, building confidence, and developing a love of learning. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things our pupils will achieve this year at St Monica’s!
